For this version of the project the public was invited to remember and “sing” the sound of an earthquake they had experienced in the past. The ensemble of those recorded voices played through a wooden structure that vibrated and worked as a large tactile speaker.
Later, Yo-Yo Ma played the cello on top of the structure itself, feeling the vibrations and responding to the recorded sounds.
